Ventolà is on the southern slope of Serra Estremera at a height of 1,385 m. It provides an exceptional outlook of the whole Rigard Valley. The climate is mild because of the way it is sheltered and because it faces the sun. It is easily accessible thanks to a 5-km road that connects with the N-152 highway, 4 km north from Ribes de Freser.
