Church of Sant Víctor de Dòrria
For a long time people thought it was a building from the 11th or 12th centuries which had been altered over time. Nevertheless, as a result of the discovery of the Romanesque murals, it has been considered that part of the walls date from the 10th century, when the first consecration took place.
The single-naved church is crowned by a rectangular apse; subsequently, the cover was substituted for the barrel vault, the nave was enlarged, and the door was moved; on the outside, next to the current access, there are remains of the original horseshoe arch-shaped door. The murals date from the 12th century. The Maiestas Domini presides over the presbytery area, surrounded by Evangelist symbols. On each side, there is a representation of the archangels Michael and Gabriel and on the walls, of the apostles. On the triumphal arch, there are two signs of the zodiac (Gemini and Sagittarius). The Maiestas Mariae, the prophets David and Ezekiel, and the angels are painted on the nave’s vault. On the southern wall of the presbytery, there is a face that dates from the Pre-Romanesque era (10th C.).
